SAINSBURY’S BRANDED SAMPLING

 

 

Seven Squared are responsible for the sale of in-store and experiential sampling days in Sainsbury’s Branded Sampling programme.

 

Sainsbury’s key goals are:

 

  • To deliver an ever improving quality shopping
    experience for customers
  • To exceed customer expectations for healthy, safe,
    fresh and tasty food
  • And to encourage customers to ‘Try Something New Today’

Sampling is a key mechanic to help achieve these objectives. Sampling the right brands at the right time is the most direct way to get trial of product, enhance the shopping experience and encourage purchase.
It supports the Try Something New message in Sainsbury’s Stores and headline events running in-store. It is also a key planning tool for Sainsbury’s buyers and helps them evaluate sales uplifts on brands.

 

In-store sampling is currently available in 134 leading Sainsbury’s stores and we are looking for this to grow to give brands even more opportunity to reach Sainsbury’s customers.  Experiential sampling is currently available in over 300 stores and offers brands flexible and creative ways to engage with Sainsbury’s customers in car parks.

 

Sainsbury’s are committed to delivering an industry leading sampling programme and key improvements have been implemented throughout 2007:

  • Reduced cost for suppliers.
  • Introduction of field management to focus on quality.
  • Branded panels giving brands improved in-store visibility.
  • Opportunity to integrate campaigns with the Sainsbury’s Magazine portfolio managed and published by Seven Squared
